about:
First off, Jumpluff is awesome.
I found a stash of unopened Fabriano Studio watercolor paper in my drawer, so I decided to try doing a marker piece on it. Unlike other watercolor papers, this is exceptionally smooth, almost more like bristol board than any watercolor paper I've tried before!
I was really impressed with the blending I got on this lovely paper. It was very soft, but I was still able to layer the colors so that my strokes would show.
However, like many papers, this one had some trouble with feathering. Since I do my lineart with markers, I need the paper to hold the ink in place as much as possible, so any sort of feathering is really a dealbreaker for me.
If I were doing an illustration where I wasn't planning on using my markers for the lineart, I'd probably try this paper again!
